1980's British New Wave

Great Britain was ground zero for the transition from punk to new wave music in the early to mid 1980's. I'll give you some clues and a sound clip, and you simply choose the correct U.K. new wave artist. If the Psychedelic Furs, Haircut 100, and Boomtown Rats are not in your vocabulary, you may want to scroll to the next quiz. We're going to dig a little deeper than Duran Duran and The Culture Club on this one. If you watched MTV in its early days, have no fear - this may be just your thing!

"Let The Music Play" (Jukebox Hits) From 1984

This quiz will be based on songs and singers from the year 1984. There were lots of great hit songs from this year. Shannon Greene's " Let The Music Play" was a big smash hit for her. Songs like Van Halen's "Jump", Pat Benatar's "Love Is A Battlefield" made 1984 a great year for music . Michael Jackson was seriously burned filming a Pepsi commercial, Mary Lou Retton won a slew of gold medals at the Summer Olympics, and Cyndi Lauper was ripping up the charts with her "She's So Unusual" album. What a great year. If you know anything about music from 1984, put your skills to the test and take this quiz. Good luck !

There were also some hit songs in 1986. While Robert Palmer was telling us that he was "Addicted To Love", Bon Jovi was telling us that "You Give Love A Bad Name". I believe that we have done this before. I will provide some questions and you will be required to submit some answers. I have done my part, now it is up to you to do yours. Good luck!
