Nero Wolfe was a great fictional detective created by Rex Stout. He solved crimes from behind his desk, and rarely left his brownstone. He was a gourmet and an avid reader, whose eccentricities made him truly memorable. Wolfe appeared in 33 novels and 39 short stories, which have been adapted for both the small screen and the silver screen numerous times.
