Band Name Origins
How did Def Leppard come up with their name? Shouldn't it be spelled "Deaf Leopard"? Well, the band's lead singer came up with "Deaf Leopard" as a youngster, and modified it to look more like the name "Led Zeppelin". You get the picture? In this quiz we'll look at the origin of some other band names- from the 1960's and 70's. I'll give you certain clues, maybe an audio clip, and you're on your way! Give it a try.

Before They Went Solo
Test your knowledge of popular music as I give you the artist and you give me the band he or she was in before departing in favor of a solo career. Everyone knows John Lennon was a Beatle, George Michael was in Wham!, and Ozzy once sung for Black Sabbath. Let's try something a little more challenging - like what band did Rod Stewart come from? (Answer: the Faces) Are you up for it?
