Guitar Greats

Here's an audio quiz on guitarists from the 1970's through the 1980's. Simply play the audio clip and determine who is playing the guitar. If you can tell a Ritchie Blackmore from a Jimmy Page, then you should do all right. Turn up the volume, and good luck!

Blind Test : The 09/11 Censorship

In the days after the September 11, 2001 attacks on New York and Washington, D.C., many television and radio stations altered normal programming in response to the events. During this period, Clear Channel Communications and its subsidiaries made a list of "songs with questionable lyrics" that stations may not want to play. John Hogan, president of Clear Channel, said that the list was only a suggestion, and "never a policy or a directive." The list contains 165 songs, as well as "all songs" by Rage Against The Machine.

Songs with "Boogie" In the Title

How easy is this? C'mon now. Each one of these ten songs that I have provided has the word "boogie" in the title. You have to tell me who sang the songs. Does this sound difficult? There were lots of great funky "boogie" songs in the 70's. Can you "dig it?" I have done my job and now you have to take the next step. Good luck and start quizzing!
