After the 50's, Science Fiction was a viable commodity. The film companies could sell it, and the consumers ate it up. The 60's saw new technology and innovation used in the film making process, and Science Fiction film was well on its way to becoming what it is today. These are movies of the 60s and 70s that I can remember premiering at my local drive-in. Many of these include the epic disaster films of that time, but a few were less than smashes.
