What's the worst top 40 song you can remember ?

Mine would be "Rubber Biscuit" by The Blues Brothers. Razz Originally sung by The Chips.
For those who need a painful reminder, it's available on youtube.
So.... What top 40 song made you want to beat your head against a rock ?

Rehab-Amy Winehouse
Slim Shady-Eminem
Anything by Menudo, Ricki Martin, or Tiny Tim

"We Built this City" by Starship
and "Nothing's Gonna Stop Us Now" (the theme song to Mannequin) by, once again, Starship.

Forgive me when I say this but it has to be "The Lord's Prayer" by Sister Janet Mead. A big hit song for the nun in the 70's. The song peaked at #4 on the U.S. charts. and became the first Australian song to sell over a million copies in the U.S. , this happening in the year 1974.

Minnie Riperton: Lovin You.
Something about that song was like fingernails on a chalkboard to me.
I just wanted it to end.

And
Roses are red, my love
Violets are blue
Sugar is sweet, my love
But not as sweet as you.
I think it was by one of the Bobbies...Vee? Goldsmith? Vinton?
Sappy-very very sappy.

Hotel California

To me it was Hotel California by the Eagles. If I heard it once more in its entirety I would consider ending it all.

I'm with you, on that. Some songs are so ridiculously overplayed on classic rock stations that they turn a great song into a living nightmare.
Perfect example: if I hear "More than a Feeling" by Boston one more time, they're going to have to lock me up. Would it kill the classic rock stations to branch out a bit? Maybe play a B-side or an underplayed Argent track one time in between the million times they play "Stairway to Heaven"?

My satellite radio has I think about 5 million channels, so they're a lot better about this. But I'm with you on the "Hotel California" comment.

You're absouletly right, Gilligan. In that there's more than one "Hotel California" type(over played) song. This song just seemed to irritate me the most.
Very Happy
