Walter Conkite
For those of you who are too young to rember, when Walter Conkite spoke, we all beluieved him. he was a great newsman, not just a pretty, telking head lkke many other TV reporters. He never yelled, never used questionable language, never misdirected his audience. Listening to him was like reading a great work of literature. His prose was always right on .
In recent surveys, it has been found that the most believed people on TV are Jon Stewart, Alex Trebek neither of whom are real news people. TV news people were down fairly low on the list of believed personalities.
