Let's watch the Yankees fall apart!

I am taking great joy as a Red Sox fan in the slow toppling destruction of the Yankees from the inside out! When you run things like Georgie Porgie has lately this was bound to happen! So I am going to take a front row seat, pop some popcorn a settle in to watch the fall of the Evil Empire! There is a new power rising in the East! America's Home Team the Boston Red Sox! Very Happy

Sports?

When I was young enough to play in team sports I was m always taught and always felt that the idea was to WIN not to have the oither guy lose.
When I was very young I used to walk to Yankee Stadium during the summer vacation. We usually saw the Yankees beat the Red Sox , usually Whitey Ford pitching against Ike Delock( I am carbon dating myself). We always rejoiced in the Yankees wining not the Red Sox losing.
Congradulations to the Red Sox, the Red Sox Nation, Theo Epstein, The Patriots, Boston College , and ,I hope , the Celtics. Rejoice in their winning , not others losing. Its a much more enjoyable and mature emotion.
Oh yeah-maybe even the Bruins.

Sorry I was not only born and bred to love the Sox (which is a religion in New England) but to also HATE the Yankees and everything to do with them! This is what has helped shape us as fans and the Red Sox in general! Because when new ownership came in their goal was nOT only to win the championship but to BEAT the Yankees! So I feel that one goes right along with the other! I am a die hard Red Sox fan and die Hard Yankee Hater! I enjoy routing for the Yanks to lose! Just like the COLTS etc. Twisted Evil

I love the Mets

That's all. I figured I would let everybody know that. I do not like the Yankees, but I don't hate them. I have no problem with the Red Sox winning. I think that it is good for baseball. They are the tightest team in all of baseball. Manny Ramirez is supposed to be this arrogant , selfish guy, but you can't find any of his teammates talking bad about him. I actually know somebody in my neighborhood that went out with him, and they said that "he is a sweetheart". Go figure.

Imagine

Imagine if the Red Sox got A-Rod(not completely out of the question even though he just bought Shaq's house in Miami) and Johan Santana(they have more great prospects to give than any other team). That might give them best team since the 1929 Yankees.
The Red Sox can almsot print money they are so rich.
However, it has been rumored that A-Rod just wants to go to L.A.(probably the Angels).

True!

Gone are the days when the Red Sox cannot compete with there richer older brother to the South financially! The Sox are on the verge of creating their own dynasty like that of the Braves 90's run except that the Sox already have more championships! The Sox have a Great farm system to ensure their fiture and as we all saw a great current team as well! The future is bright and the sky is the limit! Now with the success of the Pats and the accquisitions made by the Celtics. New England sports fans have a great tri-fecta! It is good to be a New England Sportsfan right NOW!
