Guess the song!

I noticed that among the many board games here, there isn't a single one about music. Shame on you Wink
So, here you are, a trivial music game. The rules are simple:
1)Somebody posts a line from a famous (or not so famous) song and everybody tries to guess the title and the artist
2)If nobody guesses right in two days, post a new line
3)The person who's asking has to verrify your answer before you post a new line
4)If nobody verrifies your answer in two days, feel free to post a new line

That's it, now start playing Very Happy

So here is an easy one for a start:

"Suddenly, I’m not half the man I used to be"

My first guess is The Beatles, 'Yesterday.' I initially wanted to say 'Dr. Wu' by Steely Dan, from the album, 'Katy Lied', but that stanza is : 'just a shadow of the man that I once knew', so I'll stick to the Beatles, 'Yesterday.'

skublu1- Correct

Ooops, I was busy these days and I couldn't verrify your answer. Congrats, skublu1, The Beatles' 'Ysterday' is the right answer. You're asking Smile

Guess the song

This one's not too difficult, tho maybe somewhat obscure, but here goes anyway: ' we'll be, eternally free, yes, and, eternally young!'

I have no idea, skyblu1. It seems like I've heard it recently, but I can't remember where.

I'll give another hint: The artist sings of a rather 'Utopian Place', where there will be 'more leisure, for artist everywhere!' (Cool place, huh?) Actually, he's referring more to atime period when these things will take place!

Right you are Zion, and I'm dually impressed! Did you know that IGY stands for 'The International Geophysical Year', which was basically an 18 month symposium of scientists collected from around the world, to postulate better ways of living through Chemistry or whatevvah, yeah? Sort of 'Post Modernist Utopian visions',for everyone! Anyway, right the song is off Donald Fagens album 'The Nitefly' (1982) and is the first title on the track! To learn more, go to banyantrees.net, and see if they still have a 'sub listing' for 'Fevered Dreams!' Lotta good stuff there! Anyway, I digress! Your turn, or as Jimmy Gator in 'Magnolia'would say: WDKK? (What Do Kids Know? )

Thanks for the extra information, skyblu1. I didn't know that.

Now... , my turn:

"Two hearts that beat as one
Our lives had just begun"
