Yeah Paolo, it's all pretty much the same thing. You lay more money to win less on
the favorites. You can also bet on a team at somewhat even money, if you play the
point spread. For example...Right now, Las Vegas has New England as a 14 point
favorite over San Diego. So if you bet 100 on New England, they have to win by 15
or more. If they do, you win the 100, but if they lose you pay 110. That's how the bookie
stays in business. I know there's several names for the extra you owe if you lose, but
it's most commonly referred to as "The Vig".
By the way, I don't know if you noticed the cold weather statistic for Brett Favre
that I put on earlier, but He's 43 and 5 when playing in cold weather, and it's
supposed to be 4 degrees in Green Bay on game day.
