The Top of the World
Highest on Earth, the Himalaya mountain range consists of over 100 mountains, home to 14 peaks over 8000 meters (including the world's highest, Mount Everest.) The Himalayas stretch across the territory of six countries -- Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, India, Nepal, and Pakistan, and are the source of three of the world's major river systems; the Indus Basin, the Ganga-Brahmaputra Basin and the Yangtze Basin.
