Unlike crocodiles, alligators can be found in only two countries in the world - the United States and China. The United States is the only country to be habitat of both alligators and crocodiles. The majority of American Alligators inhabit Florida and Louisiana. The Chinese alligator is an endangered species and lives only in the Yangtze River valley.
