A Pocket Dictionary for a Traveller In Europe

You can travel in most European countries without a passport. The Euro is the currency of many countries. English is widely spoken... or is it really? When traveling across Europe, it may be handy to know some phrases in the local languages. In every question I will use a word or phrase in a different European language and ask you for translation. Check if you can get around Europe without getting lost or being fined if English is not an option!

Question 1:


In the French Loire valley there are many CHÂTEAUX. What are they?
Castles
Brands of cheese
Churches
Local wine producers

Question 2:


What can you do on a German AUTOBAHN?
Sleep in the car - autobahns are speed trains that take cars onboard.
Drive as fast as you wish - there is no default speed limit on highways.
Take your hands off the steering wheel - autobahns are special roads which drive the car for you.
Watch TV while your car is being repaired by auto mechanics.

Exchange Euro or Dollars for the Złoty

Turn lights on, as this sign warns about possible fogs
Drive carefully, as this is a place where traffic works are underway
